Great bookends. A clever and subtle design that holds up the books on my desk. Sticky pads on the bottom keep them from slipping.

Great book ends. They are super sturdy as well as a delight to look at. These book ends will hold up just about any size or weight books. Well worth the money.

The bookends make a nice addition to my DVD collection. My 75+ DVDs stand on a shelf that hangs over my TV and I needed something to keep them falling, and these things do not budge, even on a slick surface like my IKEA shelf. I've received numerous compliments on the bookends. They're the perfect weight and are very sleek. It's also a great size to match up against the size of a DVD case.

Very useful, nice finish, worth the price. FOr someone who is a book lover, these bookends are just what you need to finish the rows.

HOLY COW its like amazon sent me two little dwarf movers. These guys are heavy and really hold their own against all of my mini truckin mags! Packaged correctly, faces in tact, no chips!

This timer is great. It is very substantial and well made. I did not want to use a battery as I am trying to be greener and many of the digital timers I looked at used camera or non rechargeable ones. I can hear the timer over the sounds of the Daytona 500 so it is loud enough. The non slip bottom is a bonus. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I have owned and discarded too many plastic light-weight timers. I could not be happier with my new Dalla Piazza Retro Timer. It is attractive, solidly built, easy to read and to clean, and the signal bell is just loud enough.

It is risible to claim that most of these singers have been forgotten; there have been many LP and CD re-issues. Nevertheless this contains many rare and hard-to-get items of real girl power, most of them started singing in their teens and attracted the best session musicians. I would have been happier listening to Kate Smith (perhaps the Charleston Chasers session) in preference to Helen Morgan. And a few of the tracks suffer from surface noise that should have been overcome. But these are minor cavils, and far outweighed by the delights; the lost innocence that is effortlessly captured by the Annette Hanshaw tracks, the electrifying introduction by Frances Langford to "Stormy Weather", the sheer power generated by The Boswell Sisters swing (in contrast, Connie's solo tracks are quite sedate affairs). And listening to Ethel Waters "I Just Couldn't Take It Baby" made me wonder how much she'd been influenced by Sophie Tucker - or was it the other way round?Nan Wynn may have come to the fore merely in the absence of Billie Holiday but how providential that was can be heard clearly on her two featured tracks, and leaves one wanting more. Similarly, Ginny Simms deserves to be better known and her second track features the great Eddie South - an added bonus indeed.So four stars out of five but an unreserved recommendation that you splash out the modest purchase price and hear what the best girl singers had to offer while they had the chance.

I am certainly not expert in this type of music; just like it. I bought this for Christmas for a friend and loved it. Bought it for myself and listen and listen to it. I think it is absolutely wonderful and the booklet tells you something about each artist. This is simply great listening and maybe a dance step or two:>)

This is an hilarious compilation of old 20's and 30's songs written about men BY men. Supposedly you could not lawfully change the gender in songs to suit the crooner. So what you have is a very nice list of songs with a gay twist. Joe Haymes has an especially good time when he tells the horn soloist, "OH YOU CAN REALLY BLOW THAT THING!". Harold Lom tells you he's got his man... who could ask for anything more?, Cliff Edwards ask, "why don'tcha come up and see me sometime hummm?" and the lead singer of the Clevelanders sounds a trifle TOO serious when he sings of his "hope chest" which has his bridle gown hidden away! The re-recorded quality is superb and hopefully this CD will become available again. Possibly with a part 2?

This is a great disc especially with the current latin " revival" This was first and , tho instrumental , probably the best It has tinges of "the sting " but masses of passion and flair A must for the sophisticated refugee from the 60's

Nice looking and compact in size, these look great hanging on the camper awning - so much nicer than typical plastic party lights.

The lights are great. Even though they are small in size, there are six lights per string. We hung them around are giant patio umbrella and along the back of our house. They look great in the early evening, and when it is dark, they provide a great ambiance. Our guests continually admire them. We will buy more in the future because of the quality and appearance. One drawback, the green cord that is between each light is braided and thick and should be tucked away.

After seeing this lamp in an old Herman Miller print ad, I was delighted to find that a reproduction had been produced and was still available. I was even more surprised to find it here for roughly half the cost of another retailer which puts Design Within our Reach. I was expecting a second-rate knock off of the same lamp costing double, but upon comparing mine to the model in-store, I am pleased to report that this is, in fact, the exact same lamp. The lamp ships in the original bomb-proof Lightolier packaging, complete with two replacement bulbs. One lamp illuminates my workspace beautifully, and I haven't experienced any of the transformer hum reported in another review here. I will be purchasing two more Lytegems to be used as reading lamps on bedside tables.

The bulb was loose inthe socket and would go off. A humming was present in the base when put on "high". The brightness was too low when set on low.I own a vintage lytegem, so I could accurately compare.

Extremely disappointed. If you're not willing or able to present the Art Deco features of the buildings in detail why bother? Oh! silly me, to make a buck. Low ball the production and then try to disguise the crap shooting (pssst! hey guys, tripod = good) with cheesy sepia tone scratched film filters in iMovie. As to the portrayal of Art Deco, for some reason the focus here seems to be only on towers. Bullock's of course, but how can one do a video on the Art Deco of Los Angeles and leave out the Griffith Observatory? Hmmm, probably no parking lot three blocks away to sneak bandit shots from because you're too lazy or cheap to do it properly. Interesting how everyone outside of LA still views it as the media production capital, but the reality is for every talented, skilled professional in LA, there are a hundred wannabe posers. Guess which group the producers of this video are from.

The skin was easily applied with no air-bubbles or errors and the tips online were very useful. It lined up perfectly and the material allows for reapplication if you need to peel it up and retry. I would of liked to purchase a skin to match the rest of the Xbox, but the faceplate looks good by itself.

The skin itself looks great. It goes and comes off very easily. It just takes some time to get the skin on perfect, but don't worry if you mess up you can just take it off and re-adjust it. I also recommend getting the whole set for the whole 360 because it looks kind of awkward with just the white plastic on the sides. Also see my Customer Pictures®.
