It's a new experience seeing things that close. Really close. It took me a little to get used to using the loupe; i didn't know i had to practically stick my eye into the loupe to see what i wanted to see. And getting the light right for lighting up the surface of what i was looking at was a challenge, too. This is because i didn't know what i was doing, and had to learn as i played with it. It didn't take long to get used to using it. It seems adequate for what i want to use it for - checking out jewelry. But would also make some strange looking bugs even stranger, up close, and maybe too personal. Good value for the money; i have no regrets! This is a great little loupe.
